+ What do you know about the history of the building?
7 Pell Street is the old barber shop… It’s the same lot as 18 Bowery and always has been.
In the late 1800s, it used to be an old stable, then a Chinese opera house.
Originally it had wood slats on it, as you can see in 1910 photos of the Oriental Restaurant.
